ScrubAir was chosen by the engineering firm of Burns & McDonnell and the TWA Engineering Staff to fabricate and install a complete chrome ventilation system for the TWA Plating Facility in Kansas City, Missouri. The system included two new 18,000 CFM Chrome Separators, fans, stacks, PLC control panels and all interconnecting PVC duct and fittings per engineering specifications.
ScrubAir adjusted it's production and installation schedules to complete this project for TWA in phases to allow ongoing production to proceed - and the project was finished ahead of TWA's schedule!
- ScrubAir finished it's portion of this project below budget expectations
- The daily water usage required to rinse down the stages of each Chrome Separator is only 50 gallons per the PLC record
- Stack test results far exceeded the guarantee of .015 mg/dscm - with one unit testing below .0009 mg/dscm
- Maintenance is minimal, and this system has been in constant operation for three years. Recently this facility was visited by representatives from an international corporation who were checking out ScrubAir systems and references before issuing a final purchase order for their product. The plating supervisor for this facility stated, "Before we purchased these ScrubAir Chrome Separators we were told to expect high maintenance on composite mesh pad systems. That has turned out to be dead wrong! The only maintenance we've had on these ScrubAir Chrome Separators occurred when a lightening bolt hit our antenna, causing the PLC system to malfunction until it could be reprogrammed."
